We are conveniently located in Bangor town centre, at 121 Main Street. Our store is on the corner with Market Street, just 3 doors up from Asda and opposite Menary’s, Excel Clothing & Surf Mountain.

There is on-street parking on both sides of the road outside our store or down Market Street there is the large Asda car park that is a 2-minute walk away.

We have access for less-abled customers – our sales area and fitting rooms are located on the ground floor.

Since moving from Market Street in March 2013 our business has continued to grow substantially and establishing ourselves as one of the leading clothing and alterations specialists in the North Down area. We have built a loyal and regular customer base while continuing to add new customers on a daily basis.

The Main Street area of Bangor has already many well-known fashion stores and businesses and we at The Zip Yard are proud to say that we are their choice of a place for alterations.

Our skilled staff have a wealth of experience in many fields of tailoring and needlework from: formal gowns, wedding & bridal wear, golf & handbags to your favourite pair of jeans, trousers or dress for alteration.

We don’t just repair. We also resize and restyle garments where the only limitation is your imagination. We operated a fully-computerised system for our garment alterations that allocates every customer with a date to collect. As soon as the work has been completed and quality checked we send a text message and email to let you know it’s ready for collection.
